The SWOT-5M Business Plan Format: Part 2
April 30, 2008I have been thinking about what format you could use for a SWOT-5M Business Plan.
I had a bit of a look at the first “M” … Money. Obviously you would call this “Financials” if the plan was going to be used for external purposes.
Some of the questions you might come up with using the SWOT-5M approach might look like this:
Money
- Strength/Weakness
- What income streams you have already?
- How much is coming in from existing business?
- How many existing customers?
- What are you spending it on now?
- What risks are there to date?
- What fixed costs exist regardless of sales?
- What variable costs exist dependent on sales – how much lag time between spend and return?
- Opportunities/Threats
- What is $ size of the market?
- What is the target market?
- What are market trends?
- What is lifecycle stage of industry?
- What is monetization strategy?
- What is anticipated $/sale?
- What is profitability potential of market?
- When is anticipated break even?
If you can think of any more, post a comment!
